Llandudno's Victorian Extravaganza is one of North Wales' most beloved events, and it's back for the May bank holiday weekend 2026. Running from Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May, the festival transforms Llandudno Promenade and the streets around Llandudno Pier into a spectacular celebration of the Victorian era, complete with costumed parades, vintage fairground rides, street entertainers and market stalls.
If you're wondering where to eat in Llandudno during the festivities, The Goat is perfectly placed to make your weekend one to remember.
The Goat sits directly on Llandudno Promenade, putting you at the heart of the action. Step inside from the buzz of the Victorian Extravaganza and settle into our modern, open-plan dining room with views across the seafront. Whether you're popping in for lunch between watching the parades or sitting down for a relaxed evening meal after a day of exploring, you're in exactly the right spot.
We've put together a few extras to make the bank holiday weekend feel special for everyone.
Free children's ice cream. Every child who orders a full-price main from our children's menu will receive a free scoop of ice cream. With mains like chicken nuggets with fries and peas, cod in batter, and slow-cooked tomato pasta, there's plenty on the menu to keep younger diners happy. Valid Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May 2026 only. One scoop per main purchased. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Subject to availability. Management reserves the right to withdraw at any time.
2-for-1 cocktails. Join us between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 2nd and Monday 4th May for 2-for-1 cocktails. Choose from our cocktail menu, which includes Mojitos, Hugo Spritzes, Aperol Spritzes, Negronis and more, or try one of our mocktails if you'd prefer something alcohol-free. Must be two of the same cocktail. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Management reserves the right to withdraw at any time.
Children's activity books. Little ones will receive a free activity book to keep them entertained at the table, perfect for winding down after a busy day at the festival.
Outside bar. Weather permitting, our outside bar will be open over the weekend so you can enjoy a drink while soaking up the atmosphere along the promenade. Please note the outside bar is subject to weather conditions.
Our menu is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 8/9pm, featuring dishes like King Prawn Linguine, and our popular Goat burger.
On Sunday, we serve a proper Welsh roast. Two courses from £28 or three courses from £34, with options including roast sirloin of Welsh beef, slow-cooked Welsh lamb leg, roast pork belly and herb-fed chicken, all served with beef dripping roast potatoes and chef's vegetables. It's one of the best ways to round off a bank holiday weekend in Llandudno.
If you're travelling to Llandudno for the Victorian Extravaganza, why not make a full weekend of it? The Esplanade is our sister hotel, a seafront hotel in Llandudno just moments from The Goat. It's a great base for exploring everything the town has to offer over the bank holiday, from the festival itself to walks along Llandudno Pier and the Great Orme. If you're searching for where to stay in Llandudno, The Esplanade combines comfort and location in one of the best spots on the seafront.
Llandudno restaurants get busy during the Victorian Extravaganza, so we'd recommend booking ahead to secure your table. You can reserve online at thegoat-llandudno.co.uk/reservations. For parties of 8 or more, please contact us directly by email at tables@thegoat-llandudno.co.uk.
